Mobile app

Install CampSite on iOS or Android and use key features on the go.

This guide is the detailed Campsite help article for this topic. It is written for UK employers and people teams using a branded organisation workspace such as {org}.camp-site.co.uk.

CampSite has a native mobile app for iOS and Android, built with Expo, so you can stay connected to your organisation whether you are on the shop floor, between meetings, or away from your desk. The app covers sign-in, notifications, approvals, and everyday people workflows. This page explains how to get the app and what you can do with it.

Download the app

Find CampSite in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Open your device's app store

On iPhone or iPad, open the App Store. On Android, open Google Play.

Search for CampSite

Search for CampSite by Common Ground Studios to find the correct listing.

Install the app

Tap Get (iOS) or Install (Android) and wait for the download to complete.

Sign in with your workspace credentials

Open the app and sign in with the same email address and password you use on the web. If you

belong to more than one organisation, choose your workspace after sign-in.

Tip: Enable push notifications when the app asks for permission. Push alerts are how you will hear

about important broadcasts, shift reminders, and urgent updates from your organisation, especially

when you are not actively using the app.

What you can do on mobile

The mobile app covers the key areas you need day-to-day.

Home

Your personalised dashboard: recent activity, upcoming shifts, unread broadcasts, and quick links to approvals when you manage people.

Broadcasts

Read organisation and department broadcasts, vote on polls, and reply in the thread (or privately to

the author). Filter by channel and mark items as read. Managers can compose messages or polls from

the app.

Calendar

View your week, events, and shifts. Open Schedule and swaps from Calendar when you need

rota, swaps, or availability (there is no separate Rota tab).

Finance

Clock in and out and see this week’s hours. Submit timesheets and run wagesheets on the web

app for now.

HR

Time off, onboarding, reviews, and 1:1s available to you based on your role.

Notifications inbox

A unified inbox grouped by category (leave, recruitment, calendar, and more). Tap the bell in the

header to open it.

Approvals hub

Managers and approvers can review pending members, broadcasts, leave, rota requests, and

recruitment items from one place.

Settings

Compact account hub: profile card, then Account, Preferences, and Support groups. Holiday

appearance saves to your account (synced with web). Notification preferences (quiet hours,

channels, sounds) live on their own screen. Support opens product docs, the help centre, the

feature roadmap, and email contact.

Resource library

Browse and read documents and resources your organisation has shared with staff.

Sign in and security

You do not need a separate account for mobile. Use the same email address and password as you do on the web.

  • Organisation workspace: At register, pick your organisation from the list (or use a deep link such as campsite://register?org=acme-demo to prefill). At login, use email and password only; if you belong to multiple organisations, choose one after sign-in.
  • Multi-factor authentication: If your organisation requires MFA, the app asks for an email verification code after sign-in. Manage authenticator MFA on the web under Settings β†’ Security.
  • Biometric unlock: After sign-in, you can opt in to Face ID or fingerprint to unlock the app on return without retyping your password.
  • Forgot password: Request a reset link from the login screen. The link opens the app so you can set a new password.

Offline support

The CampSite mobile app caches your most recently loaded broadcasts and rota data locally on your device. If you lose your internet connection, you can still view:

  • Recent broadcasts from your subscribed channels
  • Your upcoming shifts and current rota

Cached data is read-only while offline. Any actions, such as submitting a leave request or updating your profile, will need a connection to go through.

Profile, appearance, and accessibility

Under Settings you can manage the same personal preferences as on the web:

  • Edit profile: Full name, preferred name, and pronouns.
  • Appearance: Holiday celebration mode and auto holiday themes (themed shell wash behind the app, matching your organisation calendar).
  • Accessibility: Text size, bold text, increased contrast, reduced motion, and related display options stored on your device.
  • Support: Open product documentation, the help centre, or the feature roadmap, or email Campsite support.

Celebration overlays are hidden on HR workspace screens, consistent with the web app.

Act on push notifications

Tap a push notification to go directly to the relevant content without navigating through the app manually:

  • A broadcast notification takes you straight to that message.
  • A shift reminder opens your rota for that day.
  • A calendar event alert opens the event detail.
  • A leave update notification takes you to the decision in your leave history.

Info: If you stop receiving push notifications, check that notifications are enabled for CampSite in

your device's system settings (iOS: Settings β†’ CampSite β†’ Notifications; Android: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ CampSite β†’ Notifications). You can also review in-app notification preferences under

Settings.

Before you contact support

  1. Confirm you are signed in on the correct organisation URL ({org}.camp-site.co.uk).
  2. Refresh after a recent role or permission change.
  3. Check whether a colleague with the same role can see the same controls.
  4. Capture the page URL and any error text if you still need help.
