Notification preferences
Control in-app, email, and push alerts plus quiet hours.
This guide is the detailed Campsite help article for this topic. It is written for UK employers and people teams using a branded organisation workspace such as {org}.camp-site.co.uk.
Types of notifications
Campsite delivers notifications through three channels: In-app A notification bell in the top bar of the web app shows your unread alert count. Select it to open a quick-view panel, or visit /notifications for your full notification hub. Email Campsite sends email notifications for key events - such as a leave request being approved or a new broadcast published - directly to your registered email address. Push (mobile) If you have the Campsite mobile app installed and push notifications enabled, alerts appear on your device even when the app is closed.
Manage your notification preferences
Open Settings Select your avatar or name in the top-right corner, then choose Settings. Go to Notifications Select the Notifications tab within Settings. Adjust preferences by category Toggle delivery channels on or off for each notification category to match what is useful for you.
Notification categories
Campsite groups notifications so you can tune each area independently. Broadcasts Alerts when new broadcasts are published to channels you subscribe to. Control which channels you follow to reduce noise. Recruitment and applications Updates on job applications, candidate stage changes, and hiring decisions relevant to your role. Leave requests Notifications when a leave request you submitted is approved, declined, or requires further action. Calendar events Reminders for upcoming events on your Campsite calendar, including broadcast-linked dates and manually created events. HR metrics Alerts generated by HR metric thresholds configured by your admin - for example, attendance or review reminders.
Channel subscriptions
Broadcasts in Campsite are published to audience channels within departments. You can subscribe or unsubscribe from individual channels to control which broadcasts you are notified about. Open your notification settings or profile Go to Settings β Notifications , or visit your profile page and find the Subscriptions section. View available channels The channels available to you are based on the departments you belong to. Each department may have one or more broadcast channels. Toggle subscriptions Switch a channel on to receive notifications for broadcasts sent to it. Switch it off to stop receiving those alerts. You will still be able to read broadcasts in the feed even if you unsubscribe from a channel's notifications.
Do Not Disturb
Use Do Not Disturb to pause push notifications during hours when you do not want to be interrupted - for example, overnight or on days off. Open Settings Select your avatar or name in the top-right corner, then choose Settings. Go to Notifications Select the Notifications tab. Set quiet hours Enable Do Not Disturb and choose a start and end time for your quiet hours. Push notifications will be held during that window and delivered once your quiet hours end. Do Not Disturb only pauses push notifications. In-app and email notifications are not affected by quiet hours - you will see them the next time you open the app or check your inbox.
Notification hub
Your full notification history lives at /notifications in your workspace. Sub-sections let you filter notifications by area: Path What you will find /notifications All recent notifications across every category /notifications/applications Recruitment and application updates /notifications/calendar Calendar event alerts and reminders /notifications/hr-metrics HR metric-triggered alerts /notifications/leave Leave request decisions and updates /notifications/recruitment Hiring pipeline notifications Select any notification to navigate directly to the related record, broadcast, or request.
