Tasks
Create, assign, and complete operational tasks.
This guide is the detailed Campsite help article for this topic. It is written for UK employers and people teams using a branded organisation workspace such as {org}.camp-site.co.uk.
The tasks workspace at /tasks helps teams track operational follow-ups that are not covered by leave, hiring, or broadcast workflows.
Opening the tasks workspace
Go to Tasks in the sidebar or navigate to /tasks. You see tasks you created, tasks assigned to you, or all tasks you are allowed to view depending on filter selection.
Filters and views
Use scope filters:
- All - tasks visible in your scope
- Assigned - tasks where you are an assignee
- Created - tasks you created
Status filters separate Open and Completed tasks. Search and sort help you find due-soon or overdue items. Due-soon tasks are highlighted so managers can prioritise.
Creating and managing tasks
Create a task with a title, description, due date, and one or more assignees. The assignee picker includes search and only shows teammates inside your allowed department or team scope unless your role has organisation-wide task assignment access. When you assign someone, Campsite can send an assignment email to the primary assignee.
Actions available on each task:
- Mark complete or reopen
- Edit details
- Delete (when permitted)
Google Tasks and Microsoft To Do sync
If your organisation connects Google or Microsoft integrations, tasks can mirror to Google Tasks or Microsoft To Do for assignees who work from those apps. If a provider link is stale, the workspace shows a warning so you can reconnect from Settings β Integrations.
Who uses tasks
Tasks suit coordinators and managers tracking one-off operational work: event setup, policy reviews, equipment checks, or follow-ups after a broadcast. They complement approval queues but do not replace formal leave or hiring workflows.
