Saved and scheduled reports
Build custom reports, save them, export CSV, and schedule delivery.
This guide is the detailed Campsite help article for this topic. It is written for UK employers and people teams using a branded organisation workspace such as {org}.camp-site.co.uk.
Beyond summary packs, Campsite supports saved custom reports with a fixed field catalog, export runs, and scheduled delivery.
Saved reports library
Open /reports and browse saved reports filtered by domain, tag, or search query. Each saved report has a visibility mode:
- Private - only you and admins with manage access
- Org-wide - anyone with
reports.view - Role-shared - limited to selected roles
Pin important reports so they surface on home-style surfaces for quick reopen.
Custom report builder
The builder is preset-first rather than free-form SQL. Choose a preset group (onboarding, people, shift and coverage, time and pay), then:
- Select departments and quick filters.
- Add explicit filters, sort, and optional group-by fields.
- Preview rows before saving.
- Choose table, chart, or summary presentation.
Finance-sensitive fields require reports.manage. If a preview returns no rows, check the no-data diagnostic: scope, projection, or filters may have removed every result.
Runs and exports
Run a saved report on demand or export CSV for audit and offline analysis. Export actions are logged for compliance-sensitive orgs.
Scheduled delivery
Super Admins and report managers can schedule reports to run automatically (for example weekly or monthly). Results can be emailed as CSV to configured recipients. Schedules are executed by a background cron job.
Before relying on a schedule for payroll or compliance evidence, run the report manually once to confirm filters and department scope.
Tips
- Name reports clearly with domain and audience (for example
HR - Onboarding gaps - People team). - Prefer department-scoped reports for managers; reserve org-wide visibility for HR and admin roles.
Before you contact support
- Confirm you are signed in on the correct organisation URL (
{org}.camp-site.co.uk). - Refresh after a recent role or permission change.
- Check whether a colleague with the same role can see the same controls.
- Capture the page URL and any error text if you still need help.
