Hiring requests
Raise, review, request changes, archive, or delete recruitment requests.
This guide is the detailed Campsite help article for this topic. It is written for UK employers and people teams using a branded organisation workspace such as {org}.camp-site.co.uk.
What requests are for
Hiring requests gather the detail HR needs before a job listing is created: role, department, urgency, headcount type, dates, job profile, and interview panel.
Use Hiring β Requests (or New request from Jobs or Requests) to raise one.
Raise a request
Managers (and others with raise permission) complete a short wizard:
- Role basics - Department (or Other), title, grade, positions, urgency, and headcount type (new position vs backfill / direct replacement).
- Details and approvals - Reason for hire, contract, eligibility, and review / budget status.
- Advertising and dates - Job profile (link and/or pasted text and/or upload), advert support, and key dates (shown in UK format).
- Selection process - Shortlisting dates, interview slots, and panel notes.
You must provide at least one job profile input: link, pasted description, or document upload.
Review lifecycle
HR can (from the list or the request detail):
- Approve, Reject, or Request changes (a note is required for changes)
- Add internal notes on the request
- Archive (keeps history under Archive; icon on each open row)
- Restore an archived request
- Delete only early mistakes (
Pending revieworChanges requested; trash icon on those rows)
Requesters can edit while the request is pending or changes-requested. Saving after changes-requested resubmits it to pending review.
Approved, in-progress, and filled history cannot be hard-deleted; use Archive instead.
Emails
When a request is submitted, HR approvers get an email with the current fields (no Ideal Candidate block).
The requester also gets email when HR approves, rejects, or requests changes.
Before you contact support
- Confirm you are signed in on the correct organisation URL (
{org}.camp-site.co.uk). - Refresh after a recent role or permission change.
- Check whether a colleague with the same role can see the same controls.
- Capture the page URL and any error text if you still need help.
